I love how you managed to make a contrast for Mary between the first and the two last panels. The first one really gives the feeling of a corpse (but I guess at least K. knows a lot of things on dead bodies, if I may say =b ), and the last ones depict a burst of energy. This chapter is so intense!
Oh my various gods… it’s “ring around the rosies”… the song from the waverly hills sanatorium…
You have references I wouldn’t have dared to hope for…
Thank you for that
And of course : What’s going to happen ? argh, the terrible suspense…
Wow really “ring around the rosie” was invented in the medieval age?? Just by reading this comic I’m learning a lot of english language and habit ** fuck university!
Oh, I didn’t know that… well I’m learning new things every days
Thanks for the information.
But now, regarding what you brought up, something bugs me : if the song is related to the black plague, does it mean the plague is relevant to the story ? What would it have to do in the plot ? Is it a metaphor to Arthur’s virus/illness ? Or is Mary suffering from the “creepy-children-song-during-semi-consciousness syndrom” ?
Anyway this keeps getting better and better.
Did anyone notice the dates of Rose’s DOB and DOI line up with The Black Plague? I think the song was definitely a reference to it. I don’t know in what capacity. Also Rose’s last name is Boccaccio. A search of “black plague” and Boccaccio pulls up some interesting info.
I’m so glad you said that! I was looking at the song thinking:
Rosie… Rose? Is she the one spreading the plague?
Ashes… Gaki?.. ARE WE GOING TO LOSE GAKI?!?
This comic is amazing, there’s so much thought put into it!
I read through the whole of this for the first time yesterday, and am now going back through to read comments and admire the artwork more now that I’ve gobbled up all the currently available story (an excellent page turner here, great work guys!).
I just noticed that the reflections in Mary’s eyes are shaped like wings… wonder who those belong to? *so much anticipation*
Friggin eh I love reading the comments on this comic… so many layers of cryptic hints I would never have realised on my own! This page is gorgeous, even more than usual. <3

Did Fragile bite Mary’s neck?
a few pages ago 馃檪
Yes. In page 21
Ohhh my God. She saw. RUN RUN RUN
Okay, I’m freaked out.
And loving it. Still my favorite webcomic! =D
My gad, she is gonna die… all are gonna die oh gad gad
Not going to lie… Mary’s freaked out huge eyes remind me of Peter the cat! I have such a hard time waiting for new pages!! 馃檪
I was thinking the exact same thing!
Jack-in-the-pulpit?
Just noticed how Fragile’s shadow is projected on Mary’s chest. Your level on details surprise me more every week. 馃槷

Actually, ring around the rosies is a popular children’s song invented in the mediaeval age during the black plague.

That’s right! Boccaccio’s famous novel “Decameron” is settled during the plague of Florence in 1348 D: WHY DIDN’T I THINK ABOUT IT?
Ominous as the noises of the night, sudden as a sharp wind.
Keep up the good work, and please don’t kill Gaki.
Im so confused….. BEFORE WHATS TO LATE?!?!?!
Before Arthur dies. Remember that he only has a few hours left at most? These two have got to get back there in time to save him.
Lots of intelligent comments, and there’s me thinking “That lily looks like a vulva”…
{facepalm}
that lily DOES look like a vulva!

Awesome KoRn reference (Shot Liver Medley)
Check it out, people, Fragile’s teeth are better than LSD 馃榾
