Every single damn page of this comic raises a dozen questions! I think if some don’t start getting answered soon I’m just going to explode from anticipation.
I think I’ve checked this site 18 times since the last page waited for this one. I am glad that you update regularly though, love both of your comics <3
According to K, the dialogue pacing wasn’t meant to be in Iambic Pentameter, but the Shakespearean nod certainly colors the tone of the rest. Will it end like one of his comedies or tragedies? Who’re we kidding.
And, in a way, I’m glad the linework didn’t turn out terribly different! I didn’t want to make a drastic change to the overall appearance, just in how it’s made. This page is the very first comic of any kind I tried my hand at drawing entirely with the tablet monitor, so I (personally, in my nitpicky way) think it develops a more natural look in the later panels, once I’d had more practice. In terms of ease of use, production time, and K’s enjoyment in coloring it, I would say digital drawing has been a huge success! <3
In terms of art and design, I really like better the first hand-drawn pages.
This one is good, but it does feel… weak (and I really don’t want to disrespect your drawing style which I find absolutely gorgeous, but there… to my eye it looks a lot less awesome than what your comics have used me to…
but then, I might have been spoiled by your talent)
And again, maybe I simply like this page less for independant reason than the support over which it has been first drawn.
Still I’d reassess my complete preference for the traditional way (keeping in mind that my opinion may change according to the evolution of your drawing techniques with that tablet monitor)
But all in all, I must say that it’s still outstandingly beautiful to look at.
And mention must be made of C.E.’s hand.
Great work there.
Is she a kind of devilish abomination ?
I didn’t know what you were talking about until I read the description under the page. I think if they didn’t told us, we wouldn’t know anything was different.
Since you can’t put your finger on what’s wrong I don’t see anything constructive to deduce?
I think people might be confusing stark lab setting as something lacking in the linework but… its a lab. I went to school in a lot of labs and thats just how they look. Plus all the characters are wearing black so it looks less colorful than usual but thats the characters fault I think! Oh and I guess the funerals jaja.
😀 Otherwise I actually thought it looked BETTER than previous pages but thats just my opinion too tbh. (sorry not native english speaker)
sorry for this dumb question which will out me as a fantasy-only reader, but where is this Macbeth qoute? I’m not familiar with Shakespeare, so please could someone write it in the comment-section?
Respondentem to the rescue!
It’s the “perfumes of Arabia” part. I was kinda hoping for the grand “Full of scorpions is my mind”, but this fits better.
(Flies away)
I’m so loving the whole macbeth reference here. GOD I love this comic
When will it continue????? I just read it all at once and now I need more!!! XD

Okay, C.E. is officially scaring me now.
Yep. This just seals it. C.E is my favourite character.

A few things:
No one is going to mention C.E.’s hand?
Was this page intentionally written in Iambic Pentameter? It sure reads like that Shakespearian thrum.
The linework on this page is only slightly different to Your prior Art. How do You like drawing directly in ones and zeroes?
It’s like the burning elephant in the room. ;D

and the doctor stays standing like: yup, there she goes…

I think the difference you’re seeing is line weight. Digitally-drawn, the lines are much more uniform in thickness.
I think C.E. is the most powerful person supernatural powers-wise of the whole comic. Awesome page BTW.
Oh, Macbeth’s quote <3
I like the new lineart :3

If there’s a protective cover of glass over a button, smashing it will be harmless to the smasheé.
Lotsa logic there.
Notice how after CE’s hand becomes glowy, we don’t see the rest of her.
I think her entire body changed. She’s definitely something supernatural, probably not even human….
OMG, I love you guys! I literally devoured all of your comics when I founded this site. Keep going!
